Your Wedding : Remember this!

There is so much excitement when it comes to planning your wedding, from booking vendors, getting  the attire, and picking flowers. However, there are some minor but important details that can fall through the cracks.

Today I’m happy to provide you with a list of certain details that might get overlooked. You can use this list as a quick reference for when you big day approaches. So are you ready? REMEMBER THIS!

Put God at the center!

As this should be for every aspect of your life but when it comes to things in the planning process such as which venue you should pick, we fall into thinking: what could God possibly want to do with those things?! Guess what? yes, he cares. Invite him in all the minute details in your wedding planning journey and watch how things fall in place for your big day!

-Marriage Counseling

Not only we want our wedding to be beautiful but most importantly we want the marriage to LAST! Either it be your officiant or a marriage counselor specialist, don’t overlook that part of wedding planning (or marriage planning, if you will!) Granted we don’t know what the future holds, so you can never be fully ready but building a strong foundation in marriage is crucial.

Wedding  day timeline.

Another detail that can be overlooked but can save plenty of time and help you feel more relaxed the day of your wedding. The wedding day timeline is basically the breakdown of how you plan the day go. In there you need to include arrival time of bridal party, vendors, what time to be done by. In short, your wedding timeline is your game plan for successful wedding day , besides the things we can’t control of course!

-Schedule Ceremony and reception rehearsals.

Please don’t leave it up to chances and think that everyone will know what they are supposed to do. I made the mistake of not having a rehearsal and things were a bit discombobulated. So don’t leave the rehearsals out. Try to schedule it a couple of days before the wedding so you can make sure that it gets done.

-Gather and Pack your wedding day essentials.

Do so a least a week before the wedding! The reason why I say to pack them a week before is cause these items tend to be small and therefore can be easily left behind. After you’ve packing put them somewhere visible so you can just grab and go the day of.

-Here’s a list of the wedding day essential to make sure to check off

  • Cake cutter
  • The shoes
  • The rings
  • Garther
  • Headpiece
  • Veil
  • Cufflinks
  • Special Dress hanger or mannequin
  • Toast Flutes for bride & groom
  • Seating chart
  • Flower girl baskets
  • Bible
  • Table numbers

You are welcome to add to this list as you go.

Remember to be in the moment.

Now this is specifically for my brides. Try your hardest to not let something that went wrong distract you from one of the best moments of your life! You don’t want the only thing you remember from your wedding day to be how frustrated you were about forgetting your cake cutter! The day goes by so fast, it’s crazy,  so slow down! Every couple of hours and even minutes I took the time to look around and be present in what was happening. Be patient and pleasant to others, they have all gathered on this day for you guys, say Thank you and smile! This is the moment you’ve been waiting for, you owe it to yourself to be fully present!

So after those what else do you want to add to your Remember this list? Let me know.
