I recently placed a small order on sephora. It’s a mix of tried and true products I needed to restock and some that I’m looking forward to trying. As of right now my skin is going through the motions where I’m getting some breakouts and being very dry. So you’ll notice that the products in my order are geared towards clarifying and moisturizing the skin.
So what did I get:
The kit contains a serum, day and night moisturizer. This is my third time purchasing the set with their Transforming Walnut Scrub
Why I got it: All 3 products work effectively and work as they say. The vitamin C serum brightens your skin, the night moisturizer reveals supple beautiful skin, it will even dry out some breakouts the next morning as it is a gel consistency and dries up to a tacky texture. I love it, these 3 do work wonders.
|Acne Solutions Clinical Clearing Kit|
It is a 3 step acne solutions clearing kit that comes with
Dramatically different moisturizing gel
Why I got it: My skin has been breaking out just randomly. I don’t have any skincare products that are specifically geared towards eliminating acne. So it fit perfectly and the kit- normally $28- was on sale for $14. I’ve tried Clinique products before, more recently the Take The Day Off Cleansing balm. I love that it takes off my makeup and how it makes my skin feel right after, as before when I used makeup wipes they would make skin feel stripped dry and quite sensitive. So I have great expectations for these products.
I get acne around that time of the month, so instead of just going through it i decided
If you read my 3 REASONS TO TRY SEPHORA’S SKINCARE ESSENTIALS KIT post you would already know how much I love this line. Since then I repurchased the kit and stocked up on the cleanser twice. While browsing on the site for the cleanser I came across the glow kit! It contained my beloved cleanser, Illuminating Hydrator and glow peel pads. This totally peaked my interest
Why I got it: the main reason was to stock up on the cleanser. I love it because it effectively cleanses and also tones. To be honest with you, using a toner is the one step that I have not included in my skincare routine for a reason or another. but I am aware of the benefits so having a cleanser that doubles as a toner is lifesaving! If you’ve read that blogpost you will also remember that I wanted to try the other products in this line as they are made with more than 90% naturally derived ingredients. Well this was my chance. The cleanser is made with Aloe which is known to soothe the skin, the moisturizer with Moringa Oil (hello fancy ingredients!) to illuminate and hydrate and the peel pads with glycolic Acid to exfoliate and smooth the skin. I’ve never tried peel pads before, I’m excited to see how they work.
Basically I got a bunch of kits lol! I love purchasing products in kit, it saves you money, working products
My order also came with a free 15ML sample of the Caudalie Vinoperfect Instant Brightening Moisturizer. It is formulated to address the look of dark spots, visibly even skin tone, and give skin a glowing appearance.
Why I got it: Cause it was free sis! Lol. There was a selection of 4 other products you could choose from but I picked this one because a few years ago I received the Vinoperfect serum for the birthday gift, it worked wonderfully for my skin but for some reason I didn’t purchase it. I think it is also worth mentioning this product is vegan, gluten-free, comes in recyclable packaging, and is reef safe.
Okay so that all I ordered guys! Now unto the impatient waiting game until my package arrives. While I do that I’d love to know which product peeked your interest and would like to try for yourself. Or let me know if you placed an order as well and tell me what you got, I’m curious to know!
Thank you for stopping by! XO
The caudalie moisturizer is one of the best. I love all caudalie products. I recently purchased the caudalie milk makeup remover because I have very sensitive skin so I love the way it leaves my skin – very supple. I bought the bioessence lactic acid serum because not only it’s the only serum that I found actually works for my dark spots and keeps my acne at bay but it’s also vegan and it’s not harsh for my skin unlike the other acid such as salicylic acid which dries out my sensitive skin.
P.S i love your blog post!
Thank so you so much!!
Awesome, now I’m even more looking forward to try the Caudalie moisturizer. I do want to give the Bioessence line a try as well, I’ll look into giving that serum a try, thank you!
