It wasn’t in our plans to go away for my birthday this year but I came across this isane deal on Great Value vacations that I couldn’t pass up.

The deal included a stay at the newly opened Hilton Tulum all-inclusive resort that had been on my radar of resorts to experience, needless to say I was excited!

We stopped by the area when we were on our babymoon last time we were in Mexico and talked about coming back.
The drive from the Cancun airport to Tulum took almost two hours. As expected the hotel was stunning and we were welcomed with fresh wet towels and drinks, which was delicious (I grabbed one every time I stopped by the reception area ). The resort is vast and extends along the beach coast line, so there are golf carts available 24/7 at your disposal to get around the resort.

After checking in they drove us to our room, we changed and headed back for lunch and swim.
We enjoyed lunch at one of their lounge areas on a swing, with a wonderful view listening to the sounds of the waves. It was perfect.

The next day , we grabbed breakfast and headed to the Mayan Ruins of Tulum. There we explored and hiked our way to some amazing views of the ocean’s coast.

After the ruins we grabbed lunch and headed to the Sfer Ik museum at Azulik.

When we got back to the resort our room was being cleaned so we spent some time at the pool to relax before dinner. We had dinner at the steakhouse at the resort and it was a definite hit, hubs finally got the chance to try a tomahawk steak and he was very happy with it.
On our final full day, which was my birthday, we went to the spa and got a massage. The Conrad spa’s hydrotherapy area was nothing like I’ve seen before. Truly amazing.

Birthday dinner at Kanan, we were supposed to be having dinner in one of their jungle nests but it rained. The service and food more than made up for it. Not for nothing the candle light dinner under the sound of the rain created a great romantic vibe and a good way to close our getaway.
